While the Giants and Pats were duking it out for the Super Bowl Sunday evening, Florida bass pro Bobby Lane and Florida Sportsman Editor Jeff Weakley were out catching bass on Lake Okeechobee. Well, sort of. If you happened to miss the FS TV episode which aired on Sunsports for most Florida households, be sure to set your Tivo or DVR to catch the episode again this week: Tuesday morning at 1 a.m. or 6 a.m., or Friday at 11 a.m.
Bobby Lane is among three Florida bass fishermen who'll be competing in the Bassmaster Classic in Shreveport, LA later this month. Bobby, who hails from Lakeland, will join Shaw Grigsby of Gainesville and Terry Scroggins of San Mateo to compete on bass fishing's biggest stage February 24-26 at the 2012 Classic.
We'll have reports from the tournament here. For more background, check out Bassfan.com. Bobby Lane's profile is here.
And keep your eyes out for the March print issue of Florida Sportsman, where Shaw Grigsby makes a special guest appearance.
