I'm not vouching for how this underwater iPhone case works, but here it is. Came across the wire and it's worth a look if you carry your phone on your boat, as most of us do these days. What's also interesting here is that this is news about the product on Kickstarter, which is a website that requests public funding for projects in the works. It's a form of "commerce and patronage" for new projects that reaches out directly to the consumer.
Here's the news from Snow Lizard:
Snow Lizard has made some updates to the highly-anticipated AQUA TEK S, the first ever battery powered, solar charged, rugged under water iPhone 4/4S case on Kickstarter. First up, they just launched this video demonstrating to the Kickstarter community the underwater usage of the AQUA TEK S. VIDEO LINK - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpVPdbRfjZc
They have also recently announced some advancements to the product design that help perfect the user experience. Some of the new features as requested by the Kickstarter community include:
Front Facing Camera Opening
Proximity Sensor Opening
Double Lock Latch mechanism
Quarter turn micro USB lock
Improved Audio In and Out
Improved Solar charging
Improved Battery life
Snow Lizard has already reached their goal of $75,000, but Kickstarters still have until the end of the week to back this project and be the first to receive what will be a revolutionary product for the Apple and outdoor communities.
