The 120 is a solid platform for bass fishing and other pursuits where an elevated position (as when pedaling, here) is advantageous. Stand up, too.

If you are looking for a more traditional kayak experience, the Old Town Sportsman 120 is an affordable option that's just as stable and customizable as the PDL 120.
Ideal Application: The Sportsman PDL 120 is a platform designed first and foremost for stability, especially for stand-up and sight fishing. The “DoubleU” hull is at its best in skinny and flatter waters or in any water environment and fishing situation where stability is paramount.
Ultra-stable DoubleU Hull glides quietly through water while providing a stable and comfortable stand-up fishing platform.
Overview: If you need a platform that delivers superior steadiness while still delivering some get-up-and-go, this could be your kayak. While the dual-pontoon hull creates lots of buoyancy and stability, the Sportsman 120's PDL drive creates enough torque and power to drive the craft admirably fast in calmer waters. Like it's O.T. siblings, plenty of storage abounds in the well thought out interior. A water-tight bow hatch is roomy and includes a suspended battery storage bag. Gear tracks located just forward of the seat can accommodate electronics, rod and net holders, and molded-in storage compartments with hookless side panels capture lures, plastics and tools conveniently.
Two 18" tracks on the forward hull provide easy on/off accessory mounting.
The comfortable, mesh Element Beach Seat has a built-in storage flap directly below the seat, and a rectangular sealed hatch under the seat provides great mid-hull access and additional storage. There are three molded-in rod holders, one forward-facing and two rear-facing flush mounted – there when you want them, and out-of-the-way when you don't. Two additional horizontal rod tenders are molded into the hull next to the drive, for quick access to follow-up lures. The cockpit floor has non-slip EVA foam deck pads to provide traction and stand-up comfort, and a molded-in cup holder is perfectly sized to work with most containers. A port-side paddle keeper securely locks in your backup propulsion without fear of waves knocking it free. An extra-large tank well with bungee keeper can accommodate coolers, tackle crates or livewell, and still have room for your kayak cart. A large, seat-deployable rudder rounds out the offering.
With instant forward and reverse, maneuverability and stability, you'll enjoy precise boat control while your hands remain free to fish. Old Town's award-winning PDL Drive is the most reliable and easy-to-use pedal drive on the market.
Notable: Like all models in the Old Town Sportsman lineup, the PDL 120 has a hull-protected Universal Transducer Mounting System pocket and plate for convenient installation of transducers, just forward of the PDL Drive port. This is a kayak you can feel confident on top of, stable enough for grandma or the kids, and powerful enough to tackle most any water at reasonable price of $2,199.
